Synopsis

Amid the 16th-century Inquisition, the orphans Leonor, Brites, and Mécia are sent to the colony by the Queen of Portugal under the pretext of marrying and populating the New World. Adapting to their new life tests the sisters but also strengthens their identities. When the Inquisition reaches Brazil, revealing secrets and putting everyone’s lives at risk, the three women make their choices.
